How to connect to eduroam - Configuration Assistant Tool - Apple iOS

eduroam
eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions (https://www.eduroam.org/)

 

This document provides instructions for connecting a personal device to eduroam at ESMT or another participating institution using your ESMT credentials. If you are visiting from another institution, please use the eduroam configuration instructions and tools provided by your home institution. 

Steps to install

 
  1. Visit cat.eduroam.de/?idp=188 in your web browser and download the eduroVisit https://cat.eduroam.de/?idp=188 in your web browser and download the eduroam installer. 
  2. After the installer has downloaded the Install Profile window should automaticalAfter the installer has downloaded the Install Profile window should automatically open. Select Install to begin the installation.
  3. Enter your iOS passcode if you are prompted.Enter your iOS passcode if you are prompted.
  4. Select Install to add the global-B-CERT-01-CA certificate to your trusted certifSelect Install to add the global-B-CERT-01-CA certificate to your trusted certificates list.
  5. Select Install to proceed with the installationSelect Install to proceed with the installation.
  6. Enter your ESMT email address. Enter your ESMT email address.
  7. Enter your ESMT password.Enter your ESMT password.

Your eduroam profile has now been installed. To connect to eduroam using this profile, simply select eduroam from your normal WiFi connection options.
